I am of African and Native-American descent- and probably a jambalaya of other ethnicities here and there I can’t name.  For this walk in this life, the African-American and Native-American Ancestry are the two streams I relate closest with. I do not see myself as “African” in a sense of comparison to a person who comes directly from the continent today. I see myself as the new African, born in America and there is an honorable homage to be paid to both titles. Still we are all related as brothers and sisters in spirit- Africa is the Mother of All.

 

Do to my ancestor’s “voyages” we will call them, whether voluntary or involuntary- their  history, culture, beliefs, nobility, lifestyle that they were all accustomed to was drastically altered based on where they ended up and how that variance in environment affected them.

 

Somehow through all the ancestor's transitions, the children of those African descent parents over many generations kept passing the information down through- music, dance, ritual, habits and spirituality. Many are not even conscious of how this sacred vine from them to us has affected our lives and how we still carry the torches of our ancestors. Nature has a way of always exposing the truth. The truth is, we are all powerful vessels for the creator to manifest through and we each have a direct connection- through meditation, studying nature and trusting our spirits to guide us.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When I divine, I want to connect with the imagery.  I created this deck because I personally have not seen any decks that represent various facets of our diverse culture in a “contemporary” way.  I am excited to be able to offer this vibrant, hand illustrated deck with graphic enhancements to you. This was a really fun projects and I designed each card in its own energy. I did not purposely follow a design pattern to create the artwork however, there does seem to be a synchronicity flowing through the cards-I simply used my  intuition.

 

I have dreamed about many of these images and wanted to create this deck of cards for many years. There are some modifications to what many diviners may deem as "traditional" such as, that this deck contains 58 powerful cards instead of normal 72, many of the titles are different, and there are 3 sets of cards in this deck which will work together to give you the precise message you need. It is a phenomenal milestone in my life to present this set of 58 vibrant cards to you and there hopefully will be another deck or two coming in the future. Thank you so much for your interest.
