ALLERGY SEASON HEALTH TIPS: Powerful Garlic & Lemons


You or your little person has a cough or a nagging sore throat you can’t seem to get rid of? This tea in an 8 to 12oz mug has solved my seasonal worries:

· 1 whole fresh squeezed Lemon, a teaspoon of a good (strong) Raw Garlic powder, with a teaspoon of Molasses- some people like honey however, Stevia or Agave are also good alternative sweetener with a low glycemic levels. Just please avoid white refined sugar.

GARLIC: THE MASTER HERB

Garlic– this master herb is a part of the leek family; cousin to the onion. It is a natural antibiotic– a blood cleanser that kills bacteria, yeast, viruses and fungus. Helps prevent heart disease by lowering high blood pressure and preventing hardening of arteries, kills parasites. Garlic is a great immune system booster and is also effective in support of the circulatory system- very helpful for infections in the lungs, including pneumonia. Ref: Nature's Sunshine

Garlic cloves are best for the body when digested raw. Cloves eaten raw can be very effective healer in the primary stages of infections. Though boiling garlic will take down the burning sensation, it also weakens the effect the garlic will have on healing the body. . WHAT CAN LEMONS DO?

Lemon– high in vitamin C. Also rich in B vitamins and minerals. Is recognized for its ability to create an alkaline environment inside the body, which cleanses the body of harmful free radicals that are the foundation cause of most major illnesses. Great for detoxing, relieving sore throats and coughs.

ADD A LITTLE MOLASSES A.K.A. GRADMA'S COUNTRY SWEETNER Molasses– a healthy alternative to honey, white or brown sugar (which all have a high glycemic index which can spike the sugar level in the body). Molasses is the thick, dark substance produced when sugar syrup is boiled to get to its crystalline form. It has about the same caloric value as sugar and many prefer its robust flavor. It is often used in baking, particularly in gingerbread and molasses cookies. Molasses contains a variety of minerals that can boost your health in a number of ways. There are several different types, or grades, of molasses. Blackstrap molasses, produced by the third boiling of the sugar syrup, has the greatest nutritional value. This remedy can be used all year round for coughs, runny noses, sore throats, , etc. I use this for myself and my kids… we like the tea because it taste good, and it works! . If you try this remedy let me know what you think. with lots of water and the proper diet (excluding dairy products which create mucous; and very little meat) I have experienced great results within a day or two. .
